Meyer, Fluegge and Tenney is looking for associate attorneys interested in the following areas. These positions are benefits-eligible. Applicants must be mature, competent, intellectually curious, a self-starter, self-assured, willing to work hard, and a team player.
1. Asset Division including Business, Estate and Family Law Matters
The responsibilities of this position include handling Asset Division matters which include Business and Partnership divisions, Business Acquisitions and Sales, Probate and Estate Asset disputes and Family Law Asset division cases.
This position is open to all qualified applicants. This practice is well-established and expanding. Applicants have an opportunity learn from experienced attorneys regarding an area of importance in Washington State. Court-related experience, specifically in the area of Business, Probate and Estates, and Family law is preferred. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and experience working with diverse populations and dealing with volatile clients. Must possess knowledge of interviewing techniques and be able to disseminate complex information to clients of various educational and social levels.
2. General Civil Litigation Associate
The responsibilities of this position include assisting medical professionals in claims of negligence and malpractice claims, as well as insurance defense, product liability, and appellate work. In addition, associates may assist in the representation of management in labor and employment matters, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims. Associates may also assist with various corporate litigation and transactional matters involving mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, land use, zoning, and environmental issue. The associate will have an opportunity to work with partners who focus in these areas of the law, and over time, determine which areas the associate is drawn to.
