Mr. Fluegge graduated with honors from Willamette University College of Law in 1971. While there, he served on the Editorial Board of the Law Journal and was president of Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity. He is an active member of the Washington State Bar Associations and has practiced in Yakima since 1972, following a deputy prosecuting attorney position in Oregon.
He is a founding member and past president of the Washington Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and its 1997 Trial Lawyer of the Year. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has served as a Trustee for the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers and has been listed in The Best Lawyers In America continuously since 1989. He is regularly voted by his peers a Washington Superlawyer.
Mr. Fluegge attended mediation courses sponsored by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, completing sixty hours of mediation training, and he is presently mediating civil cases as well as continuing to handle civil ligation.
