Municipal Liability

Our practice involves municipal liability, including civil rights cases, police liability, police brutality and negligence cases of all types. We have represented many of the counties and communities of Eastern Washington.

Criminal Defense

Offenses charged both in State and Federal Courts including significant felony charges and environmental crimes. The firm successfully handled the first "three strikes" prosecution filed in Yakima County under initiative 593 in 1994.

Our dissolution practive has involved the representation of persons in traditional and non-traditional relationships including property divisions between non-married individuals.

Resolution of disputed issues by mediation can be a cost effective alternative to a long court battle. Mediation generally requires a willingness by both sides to seek an agreement. The role of the mediator is to assist the parties in narrowing their differences to achieve an agreement. Arbitration is typically a process in which the parties agree that the arbitrator will hear and be empowered to decide the resolution of the issues which will be binding on the parties.
